Gastropoda are a unique group that has been successful in inhabiting most physical aspect of nature from the land to the sea. There are over forty thousand species as over time the gastropods changing the shells and other aspect to adapt better to the environment.
Some Gastropoda are:
1. The Red Abalone/Haliotis Rufescens The Red Abalone has the potential to grow up to one foot but are usually six to eight inches weighing 1 or 2 kilogram. They are generally founded around the Pacific Coast like California. The Red Abalone tend to cling on rock near shore as where can easily catch food.
2. Lambis lambis/Common Spider Conch The Lambis lambis can grow up to twenty nine centimeter as is enjoys the reef associated tropical water as they are distributed in the Indo-Pacific areas.
3. Scaphander lignarius/ Woody Canoe-Bubble The Scaphander lignarius that can grow up to seven centimeter long. The shell's shape is similar to a cone as the color variation is yellow, brow or green. Thay can be founded in the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, the English Channel as well as the North Sea.
